Through your interaction with and use of the Channels, Data Interconnect may collect Personal Information, which is information that identifies an individual or relates to an identifiable individual. Personal Information may include, but is not limited to:

  • Behavioural or demographic attributes, when tied to personal identifiers
  • Past transactional behaviour on the Channels
  • Information obtained from third parties on your interests
  • Information about your company such as the name, size and location of your company and your role within the company.

Sensitive Information

We do not hold any sensitive Personal Information (e.g., government-issued or financial account numbers, information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, genetic, or biometric data, criminal background or trade union membership).

Security

The security of your Personal Information is very important to Data Interconnect. We use physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards that are designed to protect your Personal Information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.

Access, Correction, and Profile Updates

You may request to review, correct, update, suppress, or otherwise modify any of your Personal Information that you have previously provided to us through the Channels, or object to the use or processing of such Personal Information by us. You have the ability to update your Data Interconnect profile and related Personal Information at any time. To change this information, please contact customerservices@datainterconnect.co.uk and we will amend our records.

Privacy Choices

E-mail Marketing. Data Interconnect enables you to opt out of marketing communications. You may opt-out of e-mail marketing by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of each email.

Some non-marketing communications are not subject to general opt-out

Retention and Deletion

Data Interconnect will retain your Personal Information for as long as your account is active; as needed to provide you products or services. At the end of the retention period, Data Interconnect will delete your Personal Information in a manner designed to ensure that it cannot be reconstructed or read.

Cross Border Transfers

Data Interconnect has implemented appropriate safeguards for transfers of personal information originating from the European Economic Area (“EEA”) to Data Interconnect affiliates and unaffiliated third parties located outside the EEA.

Dispute Resolution

If you have any complaints regarding our compliance with this policy, you should first contact us. We will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints and disputes regarding use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this policy.

Recruitment Data

When applying for a job with us, we will ask you for your personal details including name and contact details (directly or via our approved Recruitment partners). You will, during the application process, be asked about your previous experience, education, referees and other information relevant to the role applied for.  This information is accessible only by the Data Interconnect Management Team and the interviewing panel and is only used for the purpose of assessing your application, or to fulfill legal or regulatory requirements if necessary.

Job Offer

Upon a conditional offer of employment, you will be asked for the following supporting information:

  • You will be asked to complete a criminal records declaration.
  • Your referees, whom we will directly contact to obtain references.
  • When you join the team, we will also ask you for the following:
    • Bank details – to process salary payments
    • Proof of your identity – we will take copies
    • Emergency contact details – so we know who to contact in case you have an emergency at work

For successful candidates this information will form part of your personnel file. For those that are unsuccessful, you may be asked if you would like your information to be retained on file for 6 months should further suitable positions become available.  It is then securely destroyed.

Policy Updates

We may update this Policy from time to time. In the event we make material changes that reduce your rights or Data Interconnect obligations under this Policy, we will post a prominent notice in this section of this Policy notifying users when it is updated.
